Imani, 26 years old, NY

Imani is a remarkable young woman who has just moved into her first apartment after spending most of her life in foster care. Imani is incredibly hard-working, resourceful and resilient, and has started working full time at Krispy Kreme donuts. She hopes one day to work in her own bakery, and is interested in one day going to college. In the meantime, she's doing all she can to learn independent living skills and create a wonderful life for herself as a young adult!
