After being in foster care for many years, Imani moved into her first apartment last December. Imani is of Guyanese descent and is really excited to cook some old family recipes in her new kitchen. She's recently been interested in using an air fryer and is really excited to start using it in her own home. This gift would be a great opportunity for her to feel more comfortable in her new apartment; cooking and connecting to family traditions and filling her home with joy.

Imani is a remarkable young woman who has just moved into her first apartment after spending most of her life in foster care. Imani is incredibly hard-working, resourceful and resilient, and has started working full time at Krispy Kreme donuts. She hopes one day to work in her own bakery, and is interested in one day going to college. In the meantime, she's doing all she can to learn independent living skills and create a wonderful life for herself as a young adult!
