City Living NYImani is a remarkable young woman who has just moved into her first apartment after spending most of her life in foster care. Imani is incredibly hard-working, resourceful and resilient, and has started working full time at Krispy Kreme donuts. She hopes one day to work in her own bakery, and is interested in one day going to college. In the meantime, she's doing all she can to learn independent living skills and create a wonderful life for herself as a young adult!
Imani is of Guayanese descent and is learning new family recipes. She's learning how to cook new and exciting foods and wishes for a new waffle iron. She said she wants to make savory and sweet waffles for her and her family, now that she has a new home to cook in. She's excited to share some good food in her new home with loved ones and would so appreciate this gift!
