Krishna, 18 years old, OR
Krishna grew up in foster homes, moving from placement to placement until she turned eighteen. Stability was something she rarely experienced, often packing her belongings into trash bags and unsure of where she would sleep next. In this constant cycle of change, she found solace in art and words. Drawing and journaling became her escape, allowing her to express feelings she couldn't always articulate. Through sketching and writing, she learned to process her experiences and make sense of the chaos around her. The pages of her notebooks became a haven filled with dreams, pain, and hope. Now that she’s aged out of the system, she carries those notebooks as reminders of her resilience. With aspirations to attend art school, she aims to share her story through her work and connect with others who felt lost yet continued to dream.
