Jacie has not had it easy in life. She experienced a tremendous amount of abuse and neglect from one of her parents, and her other parent passed away in a tragic incident. She bounced around to various homes before landing in her now adoptive home. Unfortunately, some of her previous placements were pre-adoptive but gave notice for her and did not treat her with the love and respect she deserved. She was finally adopted into a family that sees her for the wonderful young lady she is, and she is beginning to thrive. Although she is beginning to do well in her home, she still has a lot of trauma and past experiences that will make for a long journey of healing ahead of her.
