Jewish Family Services of Greater Harrisburg Inc.Jacie has not had it easy in life. She experienced a tremendous amount of abuse and neglect from one of her parents, and her other parent passed away in a tragic incident. She bounced around to various homes before landing in her now adoptive home. Unfortunately, some of her previous placements were pre-adoptive but gave notice for her and did not treat her with the love and respect she deserved. She was finally adopted into a family that sees her for the wonderful young lady she is, and she is beginning to thrive. Although she is beginning to do well in her home, she still has a lot of trauma and past experiences that will make for a long journey of healing ahead of her.
There is no better feeling than being celebrated on your birthday! This wish will provide Jacie with an extra surprise to open on their special day. Although their celebrations may look different this year, it will remind them that they are valued and remembered on this important occasion!
