Lara is currently in foster care through a program designed for unaccompanied refugee minors. She is an incredibly resilient young woman who is working hard to build her life with limited local family support. English is her second language, and she is receiving tutoring services to improve her language skills. She is enrolled in an independent living program aimed at preparing foster youth for life after care. Lara is motivated and excited about her future.
