Lara is currently in foster care through a program designed for unaccompanied refugee minors. She is an incredibly resilient young woman who is working hard to build her life with limited local family support. English is her second language, and she is receiving tutoring services to improve her language skills. She is enrolled in an independent living program aimed at preparing foster youth for life after care. Lara is motivated and excited about her future.

Lara is an incredible young woman who is working hard to build a life for herself here in the US after arriving as an unaccompanied minor. This year, for her birthday, she hopes to receive some new clothing to add to her wardrobe. Being very health-conscious, she prefers to avoid plastic and polyester in her clothes. She is especially interested in getting a few shirts from Cotton On.
