Joel is non-verbal autistic so has difficulty expressing his wants and desires. He is currently in a group home and attends middle school during the week where he enjoys being around classmates. Joel has a digital tablet that he enjoys and spends a lot of time watching videos and listening to music. When provided the opportunity, Joel enjoys playing with things that move that stimulate his senses.
