We are the state agency that "Protects Children, Promote Healthy Families, Encourage Personal Responsibility". We provide assessment and prevention services of children and vulnerable adults. We provide food, daycare, and cash assistance. We have services to assist individuals with disabilities to find employment. Our Independent Living unit works with youth who have been in foster care on or after their 15th birthday. We work to help them transition into adulthood, up to the age of 23. The majority of the youth we work with have 'aged out' of foster care at 18 or after.
