Foster Alumni MentorsAndrea is a caring and kind-hearted young woman, as well as a loving mother to a little girl. She has spent most of her young life in foster care and kinship care. Despite the challenges she has faced, she is a resilient and positive person. After moving between different cities she is now happy to be living in one place.
Andrea doesn't have a bed and is currently sleeping on the floor and has been since she got her apartment 4 months ago. After having her daughter 2 years ago she has had really bad back issues. She works in the food service industry and is on her feet all day which causes her to have even more back pain. She would love to have a bed to come home to sleep in and get the rest she needs and deserves after a long day of working. This would mean having better days, not being in so much pain, and not having constant nausea from the pain.
