Mia is an incredible young lady who has faced many challenges and kept on going. Currently living with extended family, Mia has had to deal with the loss of her father and being separated from her mom's care. But despite all of this, Mia's academic abilities have shone through, and she has been recognized as gifted! She even qualified for the GATE program and enrolled in honors classes for the upcoming school term. Mia has a real passion for the arts, and she's amazing at drawing, singing, and acting. She's also a talented writer, and she's even created a story featuring the characters she's drawn. Although Mia may take some time to open up to new people, she's got a kind and outgoing personality, and she's a fantastic older sister to her brother, Sammuel. All in all, Mia is a bright, talented, and genuine young lady.
Department of Children and Family Services requests this wish for Mia.

"Hi Mia!! We are so impressed at your qualifying for the GATE program and being enrolled in honors classes this upcoming school term! You are AMAZING!! We know you are going to do fantastically! And we are just so proud that you're a wonderful older sister to your brother Samuel. I have an older sister who looked out for me when I was young, and now that we are grown up, I do the same for her :-) Have a wonderful day at Soak City! Hit the water slides for us! Hugs and love!! ~ Dave and Andrea"
