Serena is a conscientious young woman with some cognitive disabilities. She works in a supermarket and has finally decided to pursue her GED. She recently expressed to her caseworker and CASA that she appreciates that people want to help her, and she realized that she needed to accept the help if she wants a successful future. She has mental health issues and has begun to commit to taking her medication and avoiding certain stressors. She has a Russian Blue cat that is her certified emotional support animal.
