Summer wishes for a set of wooden checkers to go with her checker board. She has a great checker board but lost the checkers to it. This will get her playing again and having a great time.
Summer is 17 years old and lives in NC
Summer loves to smile and be around her sisters. She is medically fragile and has lots of special needs, and it takes a very special family to care for her. Unfortunately, she has had many surgeries and medical needs due to the trauma and abuse she previously suffered. Summer has come so far since entering foster care, but still requires a constant high level of care and support.
