Lamaria has experienced severe trauma in her short life, and as a result, she was removed from her mother's care and is now transitioning to living with her father and siblings. She has been learning to advocate for herself and be a kid her age. Lamaria loves to sing and dance, and her favorite artist is Taylor Swift. Her love of music has led to an interest in learning how to play the guitar. Lamaria is a very creative and adventurous girl. She loves to play outside with her siblings and is always helping her dad around the house when he needs it.

Lamaria has outgrown her shoes, which are starting to hurt her feet. She also shared that kids at her school make fun of her for having old shoes. During the transition from custody with her mom to her dad, Lamaria lost a lot of clothes and shoes. She would really love a new pair of Nikes in her favorite color, pink! New shoes will help her build confidence and help her fit in with her peers.
