She came to the US as an unaccompanied minor, and her family still lives in Guatemala. Elena is a nursing student and works very hard to support herself while still receiving an education. She is very passionate about nursing and school, in addition to environmental and human justice. She is part of the “Justice League” organization at school. She is a very hard worker, diligent, caring, empathetic, and compassionate.
Elena is a college student who enjoys having comfort items while studying. Her nursing program requires extended periods of study time. She would enjoy a new blanket to keep warm and comfortable.
