Maria Elena, who goes by Elena, is currently a nursing student and is working diligently on her degree. She came to the US as an unaccompanied minor, and her family still lives in Guatemala. Elena is a nursing student and works very hard to support herself while still receiving an education. She is very passionate about nursing and school, in addition to environmental and human justice. She is part of the “Justice League” organization at school. She is a very hard worker, diligent, caring, empathetic, and compassionate.
