She came to the US as an unaccompanied minor, and her family still lives in Guatemala. Elena is a nursing student and works very hard to support herself while still receiving an education. She is very passionate about nursing and school, in addition to environmental and human justice. She is part of the “Justice League” organization at school. She is a very hard worker, diligent, caring, empathetic, and compassionate.
Elena is a nursing student. She has to wear masks for extended periods of time, and it can get quite uncomfortable behind the ears. Luckily, she found these amazing headbands with buttons that hold the mask in place without rubbing against her skin. They're a game-changer!
