A day of adventure for Kris and his foster brother

Posted Apr 15, 2024
Kris recently moved to a new resource home, and he is settling in well. He likes having a foster brother close in age because it gives him a live-in play partner. Thankfully, they like doing most of the same things. One such thing is jumping and ziplining at the local Urban Air Adventure Park. Kris would love to surprise his foster brother and mother, if they can convince her to join, to a day of adventure over school break!

Kris is 14 years old and lives in ME

Kris is an adventurous and intelligent young boy. He loves to be outside swimming in the summer and building snowmen in the winter. He has been living in foster care for a few years and has had a difficult time being separated from his mother and siblings. He uses his imagination to deal with some of the grief and loss he feels. Games like Minecraft help him socialize with other kiddos and use his imagination to solve puzzles and create new worlds. He also loves to learn. If given the chance and proper support at school, he shines. He also has a very giving heart. While he can have trouble controlling his anger at times, he is quick to acknowledge what he did wrong and try to make amends. Kris is a young boy who needs patience, understanding, and above anything else- to know that he matters in this world and is loved!
