Loe is one of those students whose resilience and grit shine through in everything they do. Loe graduated from high school with a full-ride scholarship to college while simultaneously aging out of the system with no adult, guardian, or mentor support to lean on. They studied Film and Media Arts but were forced to put their education on hold when they turned 21 and their extended foster care benefits ended. They have spent the past three years working to get their body and their mind out of survival mode in order to sustain themselves and their mental, emotional, and physical strength. They are now at a place where they are ready to explore their full potential and begin to start truly living, not just surviving.

Loe has had a tumultuous past two years. They battled a landlord who refused to fix problems in their studio unit. They have worked incredibly hard to save enough money to move out, and have finally accomplished this milestone. Now that Loe is in safe and secure housing, they have exhausted all of their savings on the deposit and rent. Loe is in need of support to purchase a mattress topper so they can sleep comfortably in their new place.
