Josiah is responsible and does well with taking ownership for his choices although he is the middle child. He has a very close relationship with his 2 other siblings and want to keep it this way as he loves being with them. He is resilient, empathic, respectful, and open to learning. Unfortunately, Josiah and his siblings were kept in their home and missed out on many years of typical child development, social skills development, and communication. He and his siblings recently came into foster care due to their parent being ill and shortly passing away. The world outside of their home is so much bigger than he knew just from what they saw through media and looking out the windows of their house. He is curious about developing friends outside of his siblings although this is something he is excited to develop. Unfortunately, shortly after the passing of their mother they were split up and placed in separate foster homes. Josiah wants to be with his siblings as much as he can. He doesn't have too many things that he likes at this time due to the lack of exposure that the family had. He enjoys the taste of pizza after trying it for the 1st time. He is still working on being comfortable in new environments and fortunately he has been placed in a foster home where the family has received training to parent children with such a huge trauma history especially with the recently loss of his only parent and separation from the siblings, he has lived with all his life. Everyone who encounters him is aware that they have to be very patient with him as he needs time to be comfortable with trying anything new due to his lack of exposure to other things that he did not have any control over.
