Kindred Spirit Behavioral HealthJamond is a hardworking and compassionate young man who has overcome many challenges while working toward building a better future for himself. Growing up, he was raised in the home of a close friend of his birth mother, where he learned the importance of resilience and perseverance. During his teenage years, Jamond faced several struggles, including time spent in a rehabilitation program and periods of depression. Despite these challenges, he has worked hard to turn his life around. Today, Jamond has secured employment and has taken the important step of moving into a place of his own. As an adult, Jamond has also begun reconnecting with several siblings from his father’s side of the family. One of the most difficult moments in his life was the loss of the sister he was closest to, who sadly passed away after battling cancer. Although this loss was deeply painful, Jamond continues to move forward with strength and determination. Jamond has a generous heart and enjoys helping others whenever he can. In the winter, he often shovels snow for neighbors and refuses to accept payment, simply wanting to make their day easier. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games with friends and spending time outdoors. Jamond has personal goals for his future and hopes to continue working toward earning his GED so he can create more opportunities for himself. Those who know Jamond describe him as someone with a truly kind heart who is always willing to help others.
Jamond is a caring person who often places the well-being of others before his own, even helping his family and a close friend find housing. However, after the passing of his biological sister, Jamond was shaken to the core and struggled to keep up with his bills and work. Jamond realizes the impact this decision had on his life and is determined to handle adversity differently in the future. He has just started a new, better-paying job and has also signed up for a budgeting class to better manage emergencies and unexpected costs. Now being threatened with eviction, Jamon is worried that he may face homelessness again if he doesn't receive help paying his monthly rent. $1,150 will make this wish come true and allow Jamond the chance to prove that he can successfully budget and prioritize his needs moving forward.
