CA DCFS - Los Angeles CountyKit was born as Xealene but does not like her name as her alcoholic father mistakenly spelled her name wrong. Kit and her younger brother not only had difficulty being under the care of their biological parents but also dealt with abuse from extended family members. Kit is now a non-minor dependent of the court and recently married the one positive person in her life that she has known for ten years since middle school. Kit's husband has been overseas for a few years and Kit is focusing on her education in order to become a yoga instructor.
Kit is living on her own while her husband is overseas for the next couple of years. Kit would really like to add a toaster oven in order to have more options for her meals. Kit was used to having a toaster while living in a foster home and reported that she would be very appreciative of this gift in order to complete her kitchen.
