Dillan was born with a congenital heart disease called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Last year, he received the third of three surgeries meant to help his heart function as optimally as possible until one day in the future when he will likely need a heart transplant. Thankfully, Dillan is now living as a happy, healthy kindergartener and exceeding all expectations. He enjoys playing outside, riding his bike and scooter, building things, playing with cars and trucks, socializing with friends, and spending time with family. After spending so much time in and out of the hospital, Dillan says he would like to be a doctor when he grows up.

Dilan is an enthusiastic learner who delights in spending time with his friends at school. This year marks his exciting entry into kindergarten, where he is blossoming both academically and socially. Each day brings new adventures and discoveries, and Dilan is thriving in this vibrant environment. One of his absolute favorite activities is building intricate structures with colorful magnetic tiles, which spark his imagination and creativity. He often shares tales of his imaginative designs, filled with towers and castles, and dreams of having a set of these engaging tiles at home to continue his explorations.
