Adelina is a cheerful young lady with a great sense of humor. She enjoys attending her special education training center and loves playing outside, especially at the park. Living with her care staff helps her practice independent skills. Adelina keeps her room tidy, helps in the kitchen, and enjoys using the vacuum cleaner. As a reward for her hard work, she loves to drink soda. Recently, she has started learning to make simple meals and saves easy recipes to try with her staff.

Adelina has been working hard to learn how to make simple meals and snacks on her own. However, she finds it challenging to use a manual hand-held can opener because of her fine motor skills. An easy-to-use electric can opener would make a world of difference for her. With it, she could open cans all by herself, without needing much help from the staff. Being able to handle this task independently would bring Adelina a lot of joy and a sense of accomplishment.
