Renee is a bright girl with the largest brown eyes you've ever seen! However, behind those captivating eyes lies a world of pain. Young Renee has faced a traumatic past that led her into the foster care system. She struggles with several medical disorders and has a learning disability. Despite everything she’s been through, Renee radiates life and energy. All she longs for is stability and the chance to enjoy a normal childhood. Previously, she lived in a home that suffered a break-in, followed by a natural disaster, resulting in the loss of everything they had. The hardest blow for her was losing a necklace and pendant, the only keepsake of her late mother. Recently, she's been seeing a therapist to help her cope, as the recent events in her foster home have caused her to take a step back in her healing journey.

Since the hurricane and the upheaval of her foster home, Renee has demonstrated a remarkable turnaround. Her spirit is noticeably brighter, and she is thriving academically, achieving new heights in her schoolwork. Each time she visits Target, her face beams with delight; the mere sight of the vibrant red and white logo brings an instant smile to her face, lighting up her eyes with childlike excitement as she notices it while riding in the car. As her birthday approaches, her imagination runs wild with the idea of a shopping spree, where she can indulge in selecting her own toys, a dream that fills her with anticipation and joy.
