Joy has experienced several foster homes after losing her only caregiver, her grandmother. However, she has now settled into a new foster home where she feels comfortable and appreciated. In her new environment, Joy enjoys helping out around the house, contributing through cooking, cleaning, and even ordering supplies online. Academically, she has always excelled, consistently making the honor roll. Additionally, Joy takes pride in being a supportive big sister, guiding and assisting her youngest sister, the only sibling she has not been separated from. This nurturing bond adds to her sense of purpose and connection in her new life.

Joy lives in a foster home where her foster mom has a hard time keeping her bedroom clean because of mobility issues. This often leads to trash piling up under Joy's bed. Joy loves to clean, but she finds it tricky since her younger sister can easily tuck things away under their low beds. To solve this problem, Joy dreams of having a low loft bed. It would give her extra space to organize her things and create a special spot for her books, helping her keep her room nice and tidy!
