Oscar spent 7 years in the foster care system throughout his childhood. He missed his family greatly during this difficult time, but he was able to slowly open up and make friends with people he could trust. He struggled in school as kids would ask him about his parents and about his family, which were hard for him to answer or grapple with. Despite this, Oscar showed resilience and overcame the obstacles to become the young adult that he is today. He lives in the moment, takes life one day at a time, and absolutely loves to play music in his free time.

Music is a big part of Oscar's life! It's a safe space where he can really be himself. Whether he's playing tunes in his room or performing for friends and family, music helps him escape and enjoy life. Recently, he’s been exploring different instruments, especially rock music, and he dreams of mastering the electric guitar. This would be an amazing gift for Oscar, helping him express himself and unleash his creativity. With a guitar, he could take his love for music to amazing new levels and turn his dreams into reality! This will give him everything he needs in order to get started, including a mini amp!
