Sherbert is an esteemed dancer and is an active part of the LGBTQ+ ballroom scene in LA!
Sherbert has faced some difficult months, dealing with health issues, homelessness, and unemployment. Recently, they were staying with their romantic partner, who had shown signs of domestic violence. Last night, Sherbert was attacked and strangled by their partner, forcing them to flee the apartment and file an emergency protective order out of concern for their safety. Currently, Sherbert is staying at their mentor’s house, where they slept on the couch last night, but they are hoping for support to secure an Airbnb for temporary housing for a week while they search for a more permanent solution.
