Katie has navigated a long and challenging journey through the foster care system, including aging out and transitioning into the Young Adult Voluntary Foster Care Program. Throughout this experience, she has shown remarkable resilience and has become an active voice on youth boards and panels, working to make a positive impact on the foster care system. An incredibly talented artist, Katie excels in painting, sculpting, drawing, beading, and crafting. She even took the initiative to organize a class for local foster youth, teaching them how to create their own paintings.

Katie is asking for help getting a digital camera to further pursue her growing interest in photography. She has always enjoyed taking pictures and sees this as an opportunity to develop her skills and explore her creativity. Having a camera would allow her to practice and improve her craft, capture moments, and express herself through a different medium.
