Violet spent three years in the system and did not receive any services after she was emancipated. Taking matters into her own hands, she decided to return to school to earn her diploma. But she didn’t stop there! Violet continued to push for her education and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree. While in college, she participated in a work-study program with the Guardian Scholars and enjoyed giving back to the foster youth community. Violet hopes to find a career that allows her to work with at-risk youth. Additionally, she is a small business owner who creates handmade moon phase intention-based candles and other products. Her dream is to attend graduate school for post-secondary education so that she can work with Guardian Scholars programs in community colleges.

Violet is looking to expand her business and diversify the products and services she offers. One of her long-held dreams has been to become a certified taxidermist. With this certification, she would not only be able to sell her own pieces but also offer taxidermy services as part of her business plan. Being able to take taxidermy classes will be the first step in Violet's journey.
