MO DSS Children's Division - Stoddard CountyKatelyn is a former foster youth who has experienced significant trauma that led to her being placed in care. Through counseling, she has overcome these challenges and is now pursuing a degree in social work to help other children in similar situations.
Katelyn is a young woman who aged out of foster care at the age of 21. Having overcome significant trauma, she is now using her experiences to help others. She was working at a contracted case management service, but she had to go on bed rest due to a high-risk pregnancy. Although her daughter was born premature, they both have faced and overcome many challenges. Katelyn is anxious about bringing her daughter home without an Owlet to monitor her oxygen levels. The Owlet would allow Katelyn to closely track her baby’s heart rate, providing her with peace of mind and ensuring her child's safety.
