Jelani, also known as Jay, is currently living in a foster home separate from his biological siblings. He regularly keeps in touch with his family and often thinks about them. He loves to read and aspires to become a journalist in the future. In school, Jelani has many friends, is a member of the choir, and actively takes on leadership roles whenever possible.

Jay and his sister have been in foster care together for many years. Unfortunately, they were unable to be reunified with their parents, and an adoptive plan was created for them. Finding a permanent home for both of them was challenging, but they were eventually placed in separate adoptive homes. Jay loves his sister very much, and they have sibling visits every month. For their next sibling visit, Jay is requesting a gift card to Red Robin so they can enjoy a delicious meal together.
