Miguel is known as the "king of dry humor" in his foster home. And it's true--his love for making his loved ones laugh is just one of his incredible qualities. Miguel lives with a foster family through extended foster care. He is finishing up high school, working hard at his part-time job, and studying for his driver's license. Miguel is determined, hardworking, and loved by everyone who meets him.

Miguel has lived in the foster system for ten years. He will be 21 in July and officially age out of extended foster care. During his time in care, he has overcome the constant shuffle between group homes and foster homes, learning disabilities, and losing his mom and dad, and he has never given up. He will proudly walk the stage with his high school diploma in just a few weeks. Miguel has several goals he would like to accomplish following graduation, including taking an online driving course, applying for jobs, and taking some classes at a local community college. To accomplish this, he requests a laptop to confidently and independently take the reins on his course in life.
