Alexa is a confident individual who has navigated life's challenges largely on her own. Currently, she is receiving support services from the Department of Children and Family Services, but she remains determined and focused on her future. Aspiring to become a NICU nurse, Alexa is dedicated to helping others in need. In addition to her ambitions, she is a caring sibling who makes it a priority to visit her younger half-siblings whenever she can.

Alexa lives in an independent living community and recently lost her biological mother, who took her own life. Despite being estranged, this loss has deeply affected her. To cope with her grief, Alexa wants a locket for her new necklace to keep a picture of her mother close to her heart, as a way to stay connected to the most important person in her life.
