A fitness tracker for Heaven to monitor her heart rate

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania

Heaven is an Art Education major with minors in Psychology and Music, known for her creativity and resilience. Heaven spent part of her childhood in foster care and was involved with a local shelter agency for many years. Throughout high school, she experienced housing instability, often couch surfing to get by. With six siblings, Heaven maintains limited contact with her family due to a toxic relationship with her mother and a no-contact order with her father. Despite these challenges, she continues to work a part-time job while staying committed to her education and personal growth.

Heaven wishes for a fitness tracker to help monitor her heart rate as she and her doctors investigate a possible diagnosis of POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). She experiences ongoing symptoms such as dizziness and has multiple existing health conditions, including asthma, PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, and a suspected eating disorder. This device would provide valuable data to support her medical care and enhance her understanding of her body. Having a tool to better manage her health would empower her significantly. This wish is incredibly meaningful to her, as it could bring much-needed clarity and progress toward the answers she has been searching for.
