Shauntay is an incredible young woman who has overcome significant hardships in her life. During her childhood, she faced many challenges within her family of origin, which ultimately led to her placement in the foster care system. Despite these difficult experiences, Shauntay has shown remarkable resilience and strength as she has aged out of the system.

Shauntay has faced more than her share of struggles, from a tough upbringing to aging out of the foster care system. She’s currently incarcerated and working hard to stay grounded and take care of herself despite limited resources. Something as basic as gentle toothpaste has become a challenge. Prices in the commissary are high, and without steady outside support, it’s hard for her to afford essentials. Being able to consistently access this toothpaste for her sensitive teeth would help her maintain her health and dignity, and offer a small but meaningful sense of normalcy in a place that often feels anything but.
