Shaman, who goes by SD, spent six years in the foster care system, where they faced many barriers regarding inclusivity and support. Through it all, SD remained committed to living fully and staying positive. They learned to find comfort and stability in sports, friends, and time spent outdoors. SD is extremely proud of their resilience and determination, and hopes to give back to the community and other foster youth. In the near future, SD sees themself running a business they feel passionately about, living independently, and keeping up the activities that bring them fulfillment.

Living in the Los Angeles area, SD is still reeling from the devastating fires that hit the city in January. The chaos of the fires made SD realize they were not as prepared as they would have liked to be. To be better prepared for any future emergencies, SD wishes to have a power bank on hand.
