Directions for LivingMarla lives with her mother, two younger siblings, and her grandparents. Marla is a great big sister; she helps her mother often by looking after her younger siblings when they need extra help. Marla enjoys coloring pages, nature, listening to music, and spending time with her best friend. Marla is also very funny and likes making people laugh. She shares that she wants to work with people when she grows up, preferably in the cosmetology field. She wants to learn how to style her hair and nails. Marla and her family receive support services from Directions for Living.
Marla is getting ready to start school again, and she's feeling excited because she improved a lot academically last year. However, she often struggles with anxiety and finding her place in the school community. She believes that new school clothes would boost her self-esteem as she heads back to school. Unfortunately, her family doesn't have the resources to buy her the clothes she wants. Granting this wish will truly be appreciated. This request has been split into two wishes to allow for a successful shopping trip. This is wish 2 of 2.
