City Living NYKyra is a caring and determined young woman. She spent most of her teenage years in foster care before being placed with her grandmother. When her grandmother’s dementia progressed, Kyra was forced to move out and spent over 3 years homeless, often couch-surfing or sleeping in her car. Kyra recently moved into an apartment and is finally able to prioritize her career, mental health and physical health.
After being unhoused for over three years, Kyra recently moved into a supportive housing apartment with one other woman. After facing many challenges, she’s grateful to finally have a safe and stable home. Security cameras would give Kyra added peace of mind as she adjusts to her new space, allowing her to focus on her health and daily activities. This extra sense of safety is an important step in adjusting to her new living environment.
