Sophia entered the foster care system at the age of 16 and has shown incredible resilience and determination ever since. She is majoring in Social Work with the goal of giving back to the very community that once supported her. As the oldest of six siblings, Sophia takes pride in being a role model. Sophia has a deep love for her dog, her boyfriend, and spending time in the kitchen cooking. Beyond her academic goals, she’s excited to branch out and explore new areas of interest, including learning a cosmetology trade and gaining practical everyday skills that will help her thrive as she transitions into full adulthood. Driven, caring, and curious, Sophia is determined to build a bright future for herself and those she loves.

Sophia would really appreciate an Apple iPad for her birthday this year. As a Social Work major, she often has to do coursework and research online, and having a reliable, portable device would make studying much easier, whether she's on campus, at home with her siblings, or on the go. The iPad wouldn’t just help her with school; it would also let her explore her interests like cooking, journaling, and even learning cosmetology. She could watch tutorials, practice new skills, and keep track of her goals as she grows into adulthood. Being the oldest of six siblings, Sophia puts others first, and an iPad would help her stay connected with her family.
