Samual is an independent young man making a strong start in his Extended Foster Care apartment. While navigating life with a small, close-knit support system, he stays connected with his foster grandfather, brother, and trusted friends. He loves staying active through sports and playing with friends, and he takes pride in cooking healthy, meal-prepped dishes to care for himself in his new home.

Since moving into his first apartment about two months ago, Sameer has been actively applying for jobs in his area. However, the lack of prior work experience has made it difficult for him to secure employment. His housing case manager is currently submitting a referral for a job readiness program that will help him gain experience through a paid internship. With the support of this program, Sameer is hopeful that he will secure a stable job after completing the internship. In the meantime, Sameer receives a small income from his housing program, but it isn’t enough to cover all of his needs. He is seeking assistance with groceries so that he can continue meal prepping and maintaining his healthy lifestyle while working toward establishing stable employment. Having grocery support during this transition will enable Sameer to stay focused on his goals and take care of himself as he builds a stronger foundation for his future.
