Marriah is a bright young lady who aged out of foster care. She has always had a love of children and had dreams of working with children. Her grandmother took her in when she was removed from her parents' home, and when her grandmother became ill, she spent time taking care of her.

Mariah fell behind in high school while caring for her sick grandmother. Now, as a mother of two young children, she hasn’t earned her GED and works only four hours a week as a caregiver due to high daycare costs. Mariah dreams of opening a daycare or becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.), but first, she needs to complete her GED. She can do this online, but she doesn't have a laptop. Having a laptop would enable her to finish her GED and pursue her goals. With no family support, Mariah is determined to create a better life for herself and her children. Becoming a C.N.A. would provide her with better pay and more flexibility to manage daycare expenses.
