Janaya is a young adult who has worked hard since leaving foster care. She has increased her independence and found stable housing. Janaya is kind, hardworking, and has big dreams. She hopes to continue her education and pursue a career she is passionate about. Janaya is dedicated to building a life that brings her happiness and pride.

Janaya just moved into her first apartment and receives SNAP benefits each month. Unfortunately, with the government shutdown and SNAP benefits on hold, Janaya is very uneasy about what November will bring.
