Janaya is a young adult who has worked hard since leaving foster care. She has become more independent and has found stable housing for herself. Janaya is kind, hardworking, and has big dreams for her future. She hopes to continue her education and build a career she is passionate about. She is focused on creating a life that brings her happiness, stability, and pride in how far she has come.

Janaya just moved into her first apartment and receives SNAP benefits each month. Unfortunately, with the government shutdown and SNAP benefits on hold, Janaya is very uneasy about what November will bring.
