Cali is being raised by her dad, as her mom has remarried and moved to another state, leaving Cali and her special needs brother with him. Currently, their mom has another family and does not spend much time with Cali and her brother. They entered foster care and are being looked after by some teachers at school. Cali lives in a Foster Home that is part of the LGBTQ community, and has shown some real growth since having 2 loving and nurturing females in her life. Kids need their moms, especially girls, and Cali is missing that closeness and nurturing during this crucial stage in her life. She struggles to establish and maintain relationships with her peers. She is very sensitive, wears her heart on her sleeve, and tries extremely hard to make friends. However, this often leads to her feeling upset, as she pushes too hard to convince others to befriend her. One day, when she realizes it is okay to be herself, rather than who she thinks others want her to be, she will begin to thrive. Cali is a creative thinker, loves all humans and animals, and dreams of being a real-life Disney Princess if that were possible.

Cali's family works hard to support themselves but often faces significant medical bills due to her brother's special needs, therapy, and support services. Even small things, like having food in the cabinets, can make a huge difference for these kids, as it is not something they can count on every day. Providing assistance this month would be incredibly helpful for them to ensure they have enough food.
