He is currently taking some classes in night school so he can qualify for the fire academy. He is adamant about his dream and doing everything to fulfill that dream. He will be moving to independent living as soon as a space is available.
Delontae had just applied for food stamp assistance last month. He just received a letter stating that, unfortunately, he could not be approved at this time because the program has no money left for this budget year, and that he can reapply for the following year. He is worried he will not have food to put on his table. He wishes for a grocery store gift card to shop for healthy food that will hold him over during this challenging time.
