Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, IncJohn experienced drug withdrawal at birth and spent his first year in foster care. He faced challenges with homelessness but is now living with his grandmother. His dream is to become a police officer, where he hopes to protect and serve others, aspiring to be a hero in his city. Additionally, he participates in the local theater and enjoys acting.
John's family is becoming more involved in community activities, and the Lane County 4-H program is a great opportunity for him to make friends. Through this program, he will learn valuable skills such as growing his own food, raising animals, bird watching, and hiking. Participating in these activities will also help boost his self-esteem and confidence. The family is excited about this opportunity for John and has applied for scholarships. However, John needs assistance with the enrollment fee that is not covered by the scholarships.

"We are so grateful for the help we received for my boy to go to 4H. We have moved to this small mountain community to create a new life. My boy wishes to grow up to be a real city hero and be a police officer. 4H is community oriented and instills values and skills that I feel would benefit him not only in personal life and community but in the professional life a police officer leads as well. Thank you so much for the help I needed to get him involved in such a great program. "
