Strengthening Families IncRichard is a very intelligent boy who lives with his grandmother. He gets good grades and loves to read. Food, however, trumps reading for sure. He is also very dependable and helpful around the house.
Richard has had a rough year. After losing his mom, he is now living with his grandmother following a lengthy court battle. As a result, he has pulled away from everyone. He is attending a different school where he had to make new friends but feels like he doesn’t fit in. He now spends a lot of his time reading books and playing basketball alone. Richard has asked for an iPad for Christmas so he can FaceTime his friends from his old neighborhood, as he doesn’t have a phone. Having his own iPad would allow Richard to reconnect with others and become the happy child he once was.
