Despite navigating the impacts of addiction and violence within her family, Jade has become the first in her family to graduate high school, earn an associate’s degree, and now complete her BA. She has managed to achieve all of this while coping with a disability and supporting herself after losing her job due to nonprofit funding cuts. Now, she is focused on healing and aims to build independence while giving back through a future career in psychology.
Jade is about to graduate with her bachelor’s degree, a significant achievement after overcoming numerous personal and systemic challenges. As a first-generation college student who spent time in foster care, this moment symbolizes her strength and determination. To celebrate, Jade would love to have her hair professionally styled at DryBar for her graduation portraits. A DryBar gift certificate would provide her with the confidence and joy that every graduate deserves as she prepares for the next chapter in her life: graduate school.
