Evelyn is new to foster care and is currently separated from her siblings, which can be challenging for her. Unfortunately, she has limited opportunities to visit her family. Despite the trauma she has experienced in her young life, Evelyn does not let it prevent her from enjoying her childhood. She loves stuffed animals, playing outside, and doing crafts. She enjoys spending time with her foster family and participating in various activities.

Evelyn found a book about animals that she thinks will help her improve her reading skills. It combines her interest in animals with her goal of getting better at reading. She is a little behind at school, and she really wants to catch up.
